GENERAL DESCRIPTION


photo Hanjin HB-10KS HB-10KS type SW Transmitter is a device designed to perform analog voice broadcasting in SW (Short Wave) Frequency Band. It is composed of Fully Solid-State and can transmit 10KW output when it is no-modulated output.

Frequency memory can be up to 100 out of 2MHz to 12MHz. Frequency is changed by selecting a channel while operating, and also Impedance Matching is automatically made to the preset position to make possible to broadcast within 10 seconds after channel changes.

The basic operating mode of this transmitter is AM(A3E) and adding an optional AMC module makes it available as AMC(Amplitude Modulation Companding).

Can be select by A3E, AMC1 and AMC2 mode and AMC mode as optional.

In A3E mode, carrier power is 10KW and modulated power is changed according to audio input level. In AMC mode, carrier power is designed to be reduced to 2dB or 3dB.

Modulation type is PWM(Pulse Width Modulator). Since the transmitter’s RF stage and Modulator stage are connected in series, if the audio input level becomes large, the pulse width of the modulator stage becomes large and RF output decreases. If the audio input level becomes small, the pulse width of the modulator stage becomes small and Increase the RF output.

Another characteristic of this transmitter is that the DC power supplied to the PA and MOD units of the transmitter is controlled by the soft-start method, so that the voltage rises quickly at the start of power-up and gradually rises near the target point. So the peak voltage is not generated and semiconductor damage caused by peak voltage does not occur.

CPU controls output level to make accurate adjustment and to prevent mechanical parts from wears by smooth turning.

Every unit has individual protection circuits. And it is easy to do maintenance works, as LED shows green for normal condition and red for abnormal condition.

It has smoke and over-temperature sensors, which make power-off automatically if they sense such environment. Output efficiency monitoring and protection function are equipped in order to avoid malfunction coming from mistake in control by operator.

It has surge protection against over-voltage and over-current.
